Private Prosecution | Architects Registration Board (‘ARB’)

Kangs Solicitors have been representing our client in the first ARB prosecution to proceed to the Crown Court.

Frances Murray of Kangs Solicitors explains the circumstances in which we assisted our client in avoiding imprisonment.

Prosecution Submision | Kangs Solicitors Fraud Team

The Prosecution submitted that:

  • this was a case that crossed the custody threshold,
  • the starting point for sentence was 5 years imprisonment,
  • the applicable sentencing range was 3 – 6 years based on the sophisticated nature of offending and significant planning over a sustained period of time, amongst other factors.

The Successful Outcome | Kangs Solicitors Defence Team

Following extensive preparation by Kangs Solicitors, a detailed and carefully prepared mitigation was delivered by Counsel identified and instructed by Kangs Solicitors.

The court was persuaded that our client should not receive an immediate term of imprisonment and the Judge passed a suspended sentence of 15 months and 130 hours unpaid work.
