HMRC Investigations | Kangs Tax Investigation Solicitors

Share

HMRC raids on football clubs have made news headlines more frequently of late, the most recent seeing HMRC officers raiding the premises of Oldham Athletic Football Club as part of an investigation into the Club’s tax affairs.

It is understood that HMRC officers seized a large quantity of paperwork and hard drives from the club’s computers.

This follows the club being subjected to a transfer embargo early in 2017 and also having to defend a winding up petition.

The Club released a statement confirming that they are fully cooperating with the investigation and will continue to do so.
