Kangs Sports Update | Transfer Deadline Day

Share

Kangs Sports acted on behalf of John Brayford in his deadline day transfer from Sheffield United to Burton Albion.

A longstanding client of Kangs Sports, the 29 year old right back has been reunited with manager Nigel Clough for a third time. The former England international has managed him previously at Derby County, Sheffield United and at Burton Albion last season during a loan spell.

John Brayford joins the Brewers for a second time having originally started his professional career with Burton Albion. There then followed a move to Crewe Alexandra before multi-million pound transfers to Derby County, Cardiff City and Sheffield United.

Whilst on loan to the club last year, John captained Burton a number of times during their debut season in the Championship, making a total of 33 appearances.

Burton boss Nigel Clough commented on John Brayford's return, and said: "It’s brilliant he is back – what more do you need to say about John?"

Commenting after signing his new two-year deal, John Brayford himself added:

"I thought we were building something last year so I'm delighted to be back to help the club keep putting those steps in place and grow even more.

We can carry on building the football club on and off the pitch doing things the right way and progressing.

I think I am at an age now where I can help other players. I know how the Gaffer has brought me on and got his methods across so hopefully now I can help the younger players as well as showing my enthusiasm and professionalism on the pitch."

A cut-throat defence arises where, during criminal proceedings, a defendant gives evidence on his own behalf and which is not only likely to strengthen the prosecution case but is designed to damage a co-defendant’s case to the extent that it may go as far as blaming the co-defendant whilst endeavouring to exonerate himself.
